Today was my last day at work. I could not wait for this day to come because I was very tired. Now that it is here, I'm wondering what I'm going to do with all this free time, having been bound to a schedule for a year flat!!
Well we start tomorrow with a surf walk on Somerset beach with my daughter and her friend and breakfast at Wimpy afterwards (there goes the diet!!).
I hope you will all have a wonderful Christmas and a prosperous 2009.

Stolen Camera
Good morning
Today I am very sad as we've discovered during the week that my camera and video camera has been stolen. You can imagine that it is the most awful feeling because my hobby is scrapbooking. I will probably be off-line for a while untill such time that I buy a new camera.
Best regards

A prayer for my Mom
Hi all
I'm asking you to pray for my mother. Her name is Yvonne and she is 70 years old, she will be 71 on 3 November. She's been admitted to hospital after having been sick for 2 weeks. The drs ran a lot of tests on her so we don't know what is wrong yet ... But I know that God answers prayers, so I ask you all to please say a prayer for my mom. Here is my mom with my brothers daughter on the night of her matric ball.

My golfer
Good Friday evening
I have just completed two layouts of my husband and his gholf buddies and another one of my daughters school concert and eistedford during August.
For the gholf lay-out, I made all the cuts from Sportsmania and the background paper was cut with Storeybook.
For my daughters lay-out I used the font from Storeybook. Love that font.
Thanks for looking

Book about ME
Hi all
I've decided to join the challenge about creating a book about me at the Cricut Messageboard. I think it is going to be an enriching experience for me as well as leaving a legacy in terms of who I am. This is challenge #1 in terms of creating a cover for your book.
Thanks for looking.
God bless!

Ratanga Junction
Hi there
Today we've decided not to go to church :-( we were all a bit tired?? We had some friends over last night, and as usual it got a bit late! I did however have time to spend in my craft room today, which always makes me feel better. I just want to stretch the hours in the day because a week-end passes by so quickly!!
I've finished a lay-out last week which I havn't yet uploaded because I was travelling last week and it was a bit hectic. My husband won 10 tickets to Ratanga Junction and gave it to my daughter. Tiffany then envited school friends and family friends to enjoy a day at the theme park. Tiffany went on the Cobra 6 times and on the Monkey Falls 3 times, so she and her friends really had a ball of a time! She kept 2 tickets over for herself and her friend Cleo to go, since Cleo went away on holiday on the day of the event.
The next photo is of a hiking up Table Mountain which the dads and daughters took on December 2008. Cleo and her dad hiked till the top of the mountain and came down with the cable car. Tiffany and her dad climbed to the half way house and then back again. They were very tired, but very satisfied that they conquored half of Table Mountain. This was their first hike and hopefully there will still be many more!
Have a good week everyone.
Blessings!

Tiffany's altered ballet gift
Happy Sunday all
My daughter performed in the ballet The Princess and the Tiger Eye Diamond and she danced the part of a page boy. They had to present the princess with gifts and we had to alter a silver tin and the colour needed to coordinate with her costume which was green. I bought all the little boubles we used, but to decorate the tin was all her ideas. I'm so proud of her!!

Cuttlebug Spot challenge #46: Celebrate Education
Hi there
This is my firt ever challenge that I'm participating in and my blog is still very new. So please be gentle :-) with my creations. Your comments will be highly appreciated. I always say my enthusiasm for talking and buying paper craft stash far outways my actual skill, BUT I LOVE IT! Hope you like it too.
I used the Cricut WildCard to cut the sentiment #1 Teacher, cuttlebug swiss dot embossing folder, black ribbon with school days print. For the inside of the card I inked the edges in green chalk, cut the apple from the paper with the black ribbon. TFL

Buddy Bear
Me again
This card I made for her best friend Annabell who was turning 8 with a Buddy Bear Party. Each child received a Buddy bear to take home and Tiffany named hers Patch because it is a dog with a black patch over the one eye.
The bear was cut from the Doodlecharms Cricut cartridge and the Happy Birthday from A Childs Year. TFL
Sportsmania
Hi there
I have not been blogging for a very long time, because I was busy with life, or rather, I was busy with the very busy life of my 8 year old.
Amongst all her other activities, she gets invited to a lot of birthday parties, so I make cards mostly to celebrate her friends birthdays. Here is a card I made for her friend Amryn, who loves to play rugby.

Fathers Day
Hi
Its Friday night and I'm busy making cards for a market day tomorrow. I've made a few fathers day cards and some generic ones as well.
For the golfer card I used a rubber stamp, all the cuts from the Dear Dad card comes from Animal Kingdom, the crown was cut from Indie Art. The sentiment TO DAD was a rubber stamp I used and the Happy Fathers Day was cut from Wild Card.
I sold 11 fathers day cards at work today, yeppie!! I really fell into card making from scrapbooking and now I'm hooked. The intention is not to sell, I create because I enjoy it. If it sells, its a bonus!
Enjoy!
